Gateway Castle called Kwanmoonsung
The western wall is 12km in length, reaching at DeaAhn-dong, Buk-gu by way of Dusan-ri, Beomseo-myun and Chungok-dong and Jungsan-dong, Buk-gu Ulsan city from MangBuSeok of ChisuRyong. This castle made in the 21st year (A.D. 722( of king Seong-deok of Shilla in order to protect from the Japanese invaders coming from eastern and southern sea. This is called the Gateway Castle because this played a role as a kind of gate into Kyungju, the capital of Shilla from the south.
