Kwangju
Hyanggyo was originally located under the Jangwonbong,
but the place was a low swampy, narrow and delapidated, it was relocated to
the recent site in 1488. Hyanggyo
is composed of structures such as Daesungjeon,
east & west wing of Myungyundang library,Nesammoon, Uesammoon, Yangsaje,
etc. and a prayer ceremony of Moonmyo-Jehyang, and all of them are
designated as Tangible Cultural Properties No. 9. Jehyang
(prayer ceremony) takes place on the presented date of the 2nd and 8th lunar month, every spring & fall. |
